Genesis 950 - The Best Pet Stain Remover

REMOVE PET STAINS AND ODORS

Remove Pet Stains From Carpet
Pets bring joy, comfort and protection to families, but pet stains can cause stress, aggravation and embarrassment. Urine, feces and vomit can be some of the hardest stains to tackle. There are countless remedies and solutions available with the intent to remove these stains, however they do not always work.

Genesis 950 takes away all the stress of pet stains. It is a green all purpose cleaner that works unlike any other cleaner available. It works with water to break the bonds of stains. When a stain's bonds are broken, it can then be lifted from the surface it has adhered to and in turn rinsed away. Here are some reviews on Genesis 950 that show why it is the best pet stain remover. It is sold in concentrate form and the recommended cleaning ratio is 1 part Genesis 950 to 7 parts water. Because of this, 1 quart of Genesis 950 can easily become 7 quarts of cleaning solution. For harder stains, or heavily soiled carpet, this ratio can be increased to a 50/50 mix. Typically however a 1/3 Genesis 950 to 2/3 water ratio can remove most stains.

One of the hottest trends in cleaning right now is homemade recipes. There are two reasons that the household remedy trend is on the up rise. First and foremost, cost. Typically cleaning solutions targeted at pet stains can run between $20 - $30 for a bottle. While this cost may very well be worth it in the event the cleaner does what it claims, far too often those cleaners do not meet the pet owners expectations. As a result, people end up giving up spending money on a cleaner that won't work. Let's face it, a gallon of vinegar costs less than a bottle of pet stain remover. The second reason household cleaners are favored is because people are become more aware of what is being used in their home. Many cleaning products release harsh chemicals that can provoke allergies, skin irritation, impact the respiratory system and have a prolonged effect on blood cells. Once again, vinegar seems more safe than an aerosol spray.

Homemade cleaning remedies however are not an effective means of cleaning pet stains. Vinegar is most commonly recommended as a natural cleaner for removing pet stains. It is a natural agent free of man made toxins. Vinegar is an acidic based agent with a pH level of 2.4. This slight acidic base gives vinegar the strength to break down various elements without damaging carpet or furniture. Theoretically, it sounds like a good idea. For a brief period of time, the area cleaned with vinegar may in fact seem cleaner and smell better, however over time, urine smells may worse.

Best Vinegar Pet Stain Remover
Animals urinate based on instinct. Dogs go outside and smell around to find spots where they have gone before. Cats head to a litter box based on scent. Urine has a pH level of 4.5 - 8. Your pet, whether it is a cat or dog, can pick up on this scent and the similarity in odor between the scent of vinegar and urine can actually draw your pet to go to the bathroom in that spot again. With vinegar, instead of removing the problem, you are actually encouraging it. Your pet will not differentiate between the pH level between vinegar and urine. If the odor is there, they will likely go to the bathroom there. This is even acknowledges by the Human Society. They note on their website. They have made this statement in regards to vinegar & ammonia: From your pet's perspective, these don't effectively eliminate or cover the urine odor and may actually encourage your pet to reinforce the urine scent mark in that area.

Best Homemade Pet Stain RemoverHousehold cleaners are often used for pet stain removal, however typically, this is not their intention. Many stain removers are designed as spot cleaners. They are created to remove small stains. In some cases, they are not even designed to be used on fabric. When using these cleaners, you can actually create a bigger problem. Soaps used in many of these cleaners can attract dirt. This photo is an excellent example of what store bought cleaners can do to a carpet. This carpet was "cleaned" using household sprays. The carpet was layered with pet stains. The carpet was stained with pet urine, vomit and muddy paws over a couple years time. Various attempts were made to clean the carpet by means of spot and stain removers. You can clearly see where the cleaners were applied and that rather than remove the stains, they created more. Grayish streaks form where cleaning attempts occurred. This was the result of the soap used in the cleaners. Rather than break down stains, they attracted dirt and made the area worse.

Soap Based Cleaners Can Leave Behind Residue In Carpet

Clearly this carpet became an eyesore. The room basically became closed off from the rest of the house and it seemed that the only remedy would be replacing the carpet. However we will address this carpet shortly.

Another cleaning misconception is the recommendation of enzymatic cleaners. This process is very complex, but can be simplified in explanation as the reaction of one element in conjunction with another. In very basic terms, the theory is that an enzyme can be introduced to a pet stain and the result will be the breakdown of the stain. The complexities lie within how an enzyme functions. Enzymes are extremely sensitive. They react only to very specific conditions. If the conditions do not meet, the enzyme will not react. There are several conditions to make an enzyme work. The first and most crucial is temperature. Enzymes need a stable temperature to function. If it is too cold or hot, even by 1 degree, there will be no reaction. Shelf life also deters an enzyme from working properly. If the product has been sitting to long, it will not work. Other factors include the pet's diet and the acidity of the urine or vomit, dyes used in the food, moisture and so on. Another problem is that the enzyme may work on a portion of the stains, but not all of it. This is most obvious after a few days when the smell begins to return.

There is a lot behind cleaning pet stains, and unfortunately a lot of it results in stain removers not working. Perhaps the best way to remove pet stains is with Genesis 950. Genesis 950 is a green, all purpose cleaner that works unlike household cleaners and enzymes. Instead of breaking stains down with an acidic base or harmful toxins, it works with water to alter the structural bonds of stains. In doing so, a stain loses it's ability to bond to a surface. As a result, it breaks from the surface and can be rinsed away. It does so without harming surfaces. Even more importantly, it does so without harming you, your family or your pets. It is a green, sustainable cleaner. In addition to removing pet stains, it also removes odor.

Genesis 950 can be used as a spot cleaner, or in a machine. Going back to the carpeting shown earlier, the results achieved with Genesis 950 are unlike that from any other cleaner. Here is that carpet again. Years of pet stains from both cats and dogs were left throughout the carpet. Several other cleaners were used with negative results, making the carpet look even worse that before. The scent of pets lingered in the room. Ultimately, this became a wasted space in the home.

Here is that same rug after it was cleaned with Genesis 950. Genesis 950 was used in a Bissell carpet cleaning machine. It was mixed at a 50/50 ratio of Genesis 950 to water. The mixture was able to break down the stains and lift them from the surface. Not only did it remove the pet stains from urine and vomit, but it also removed residue and stains left behind by other cleaning products. It also removed all the urine odor from the room. Urine odor often stems from below the surface of the carpet. Spot cleaning will not remove that odor. It is for this reason odor issues must be addressed with a cleaning machine of some sort. When used in a machine, Genesis 950 can break down the stains below the surface, deodorize the padding and kill disinfect any germs which cause the odors, as well as any bacteria that may promote mold growth.

Genesis 950 works on all carpet types without damaging or discoloring the fibers. In these photos, Genesis 950 was used to remove pet stains that were months old. Like the above carpet, these stains were previously treated with other cleaners. However those cleaners were not able to remove the stains. Genesis 950 was used as a spot cleaner to remove the old pet stains. In this instance, odor was not an issue. The frustration arose from having beautiful carpet that seemed doomed with an embarrassing stain. Genesis 950 was able to make the home owner proud of her carpets again!

Genesis 950 is the perfect spot cleaner for small stains. Cat owners often face the dilemma of vomit. Whether is be food, bile or just random things ingested, the mess can leave a nasty mark. Dyes in food can be troublesome to remove and while some cleaners may get rid of the bulk of the stain, they often leave a faint outline of where the stain was. As a spot cleaner, Genesis 950 can be kept in a bottle. Typically a ratio of 1/3 Genesis 950 to 2/3 water can remove pet stains. In this example, Genesis 950 was used to spot clean and remove pet vomit.

Remove Old Pet Stains In Carpet

GENESIS 950 CUSTOMER REVIEW

Pet stains can be a hassle. They can leave behind unsightly stains, or they can make your house smell. If not properly removed stains and odors can linger. Removing those stains and odors can be a challenge . . . unless of course you use Genesis 950.

Genesis 950 can remove old pet stains just as well as new pet stains. It works unlike other cleaners. Many cleaners are chemical based. However treating a stain with heavy chemicals doesn't always remove it. They can also discolor the carpet.

Genesis 950 is a concentrated cleaner that works with water to remove stains. Once water is added, Genesis 950 works to make stains water soluble. This allows stains to then break down. This process allows stains to be removed without the use of hazardous chemicals. Genesis 950 is a green cleaner! You can clean safely without worrying about exposing pets or children to dangerous chemicals.

We recently received some feedback from a customer. Julie wrote:

"Hi, I have a large area (living room, hall and 3 bedrooms) that my 5 year old shih tzu has completely destroyed with urine stains. I ordered a gallon of your product, and it quickly removed a pretty large feces stain from my 5 month old puppy, so I was pretty excited to try it in a carpet cleaner."
She also included photos of the stain and the results.

How To Remove Cat Vomit Stains

How To Remove Cat Vomit Stains

Cat vomit stains can be one of the hardest pet stains to remove. Dye in cat food can easily penetrate carpet fiber and leave discoloration. Cleaning these stains can be difficult for this reason. Cat vomit can also be found long after the sickness occurred. Genesis 950 makes it easy to clean cat vomit stains! Genesis 950 is a surfactant based cleaner that works with water to make stains water soluble. This allows a stain to be broken down and rinsed away from the surface.

While there are several products on the market that claim to be designed to work specifically on pet stains, they do not always work. There are several reasons for this:

Vinegar Pet Stain Remover
Vinegar - Nearly all DIY pet stain remover recipes call for Vinegar. It's easily accessible, non-hazardous and has general cleaning properties. Unfortunately, it is the WORST thing you can use for cleaning pet stains. The acidic composition of vinegar contains elements found in the acidic base of urine. This similarity between the scent of vinegar and pet urine may draw your pet to go to the bathroom in the spot where you applied it to the carpet. Pet owners who use vinegar often find their pet keeps going to the bathroom in the same spot no matter how many times they clean the area. The reason they go in that spot is because vinegar does not remove the urine scent. instead, it enhances it.

Enzymes - Enzymes are often praised as the go to miracle cleaner for pet stains. This couldn't be further from the truth. Enzymes work on the principal that when two specific substances come in contact with each other, a natural reaction will occur causing the stains to break down. Unfortunately, it is not that simple. Enzymes are extremely complex. Specific factors need to be in place for enzymes to work. The easiest explanation is by comparing enzymes to the principal of using a lock and key. Take one lock and hundreds of keys. To be unlocked, the correct key needs to be used. While all the other keys may fit into the lock, only the one that 100% matches will work. All the other keys are useless. Enzymes will only break down an element if they have the proper DNA strands. In addition to the DNA matching, there are other factors in play: temperature, moisture, age of the enzyme, age of the stains and so on. It just takes one factor to be off to prevent, the enzyme from working. To complicate the process even more, enzymes sold are mass produced. They are not designed to react specifically to the pH levels of an individual pet's urine. Differences in pet's diets, health issues and other factors vary from one animal to another. The most common complaint about enzymes is that the stain reappears a few days later or the odor returns. This is because the enzymes used are not compatible to change the specific stain being treated. Enzymes also can not properly clean the padding. While the stain on the carpet may appear cleaned, anything below the surface is still present and will lift upward with changes in humidity. They also do not kill the bacteria which creates the odor. As a result, the odor is not removed.
Best Pet Stain Remover
Household Cleaners - When it comes to homemade pet stain remover recipes, soap based cleaners are listed ingredients right behind vinegar. This is where we insert the face palm emoji! Soaps are designed as surface cleaners. They perform best when removing stains from hard surfaces. Some might do a decent job at lifting light food or drink stains, but they do not have the power to properly clean pet stains. When used as a spot cleaner, soap based cleaners do not have any impact on odors below the surface. They can not get into the padding where the odor originates. Attempting to deep clean carpets with soap based cleaners can leave your carpet looking worse. Soap attracts dirt. Rather then break down dirt, it pulls it together and can cause it to clump up. In the process, streaking can occur in the carpet.

This carpet shows what can happen when soap based cleaners are used. This carpet had pet stains spread throughout it. Pets were having repeated accidents on the carpet. The reason: Once a pet marked the carpet and the urine odor was there, the pets continued to go in the spots where they smelled urine. The soap based cleaners can not remove that odor. Soaps attract dirt. So the spots where soap based cleaners were used only ending up making the carpet dirtier. This carpet was treated this way for several years and the owners finally gave up. The pet odor that prevailed throughout the room was horrible. See the results below in the before and after when cleaned with Genesis 950!

Oxidizing Cleaners - Through a process called oxidization, these cleaners interact with oxygen to create a chemical reaction that is intended to break down the stain. Many oxidizers use Nirtic Acid (which is in fertilizer - do you really want that in your carpet?) to remove electrons in an effort to displace a stain. This is not a natural process, but rather chemical based. These are the types of cleaners that are most damaging to carpets.Chemistry in the oxidizers can change carpet various colors. A pinkish tint is the most common discoloration. This damage is not reversible!

GENESIS 950 REVIEWS

Best Pet Stain Remover3. Will Genesis 950 Remove Pet Stains And Odors?

Yes! Because Genesis 950 is a surfactant cleaner, mixing it with water activates it so that the stain can absorb the mixture of 950 and water. This absorption makes the stain water soluble. Once a stain has become water soluble, it can then be broken down. After the stain has been broken down, it can then rinsed clean from the area. In addition to removing the stain, Genesis 950 also removes the odor. It will kill any bacteria that has resulted from the stain. By killing the bacteria, it removes the odor. Other cleaners might contain chemicals which can discolor your carpet, cause illness to your pet or briefly mask the odor for a short period of time. Genesis 950 can clean all types of pet stains, including urine, feces, vomit, oils from fur that have rubbed onto furniture or walls and other associated pet stains. Genesis 950 can also remove pet odor in carpet and furniture.

Yes! Genesis 950 is a green, environmentally friendly product. It will not cause harm to you, your family, your pets or surfaces you are cleaning. Genesis 950 does NOT contain any hazardous chemicals on the list. It also has an extremely low VOC level - even in concentrate form. Most cleaners sold contain up to 90% water. This is because the chemical content is so high that they can not be sold as a concentrate. 7. What Stores Carry Genesis 950?

At this time Genesis 950 is not available in any retail outlets.

8. Why Is Genesis 950 Not Sold In Stores?

Genesis 950 is not available in stores for a number of reasons. The primary reason is the nature of our company, Amerikal. Amerikal Products is one of the largest companies involved in the printing industry. Amerikal manufactures sustainable solutions for the printing industry. This includes chemistry used in printing packaging for food, pharmaceuticals and other consumable and non-consumable products. Chances are if you have any type of food product in your home, Amerikal had something to do with the chemistry used to package it. Whether it be in the design of the printing press or ensuring that the packaging is free of any toxins or chemicals used in the printing of the box or container. As a key player in this market, contributing to Fortune 500 companies, Amerikal had not previously been involved in retail sales. Our primary role is in the printing area, not consumer retail. But there are many other reasons Genesis 950 is not available in retail stores. Too often in retail stores, employees provide incorrect information on a product. With Genesis 950, it is very important water is used to activate the 950. If associates at stores were not there to explain this and the product was not used correctly, it would not work. We want to make sure that customers use the product correctly. We are also available to help customers use the product. Various stains call for different mixing ratios and treatment. We want customers to know they can reach us and we can help them use the product. If a stain is not lifting, we can work with customers to make sure they are using the correct ratio for the correct cleaning jobs.

9. Does Genesis 950 Have Any Money Back Guarantees?

No. Genesis 950 does not have any such guarantee. There are some other cleaning products available which can actually lock stains into the carpet. If such a product was used in the past, and it has locked the stain in, Genesis 950 can not reverse or be held accountable for damage done by the other product. Likewise, other products can also discolor or damage surfaces. Again, Genesis 950 can not restore damage done from another cleaning product. If something was used that discolored, rather then stained a surface, Genesis 950 can not restore the color. There is a huge difference between a stain and discoloration, and Genesis 950 can not repair the latter.

Genesis 950 does work, and we will stand behind that. In the event, it is not working as expected, call us directly at 847-244-3600. Chances are if Genesis 950 is not working for you, it is not being used correctly. We can help! Typically, if a customer calls us with a problem, we can tell exactly what the issue is based on the problem. Common mistakes are using the wrong mixing ratio for a task, not letting the solution soak in before rinsing, and not rinsing. 99.9% of the time, we can provide suggestions to ensure the product works and we will follow you through the process. We treat customers exactly the way we would expect to be treated if we had an issue. We do everything we can to ensure our customers are happy, satisfied and pleased with the results. We work with customers! We would NEVER neglect a customer with questions or concerns.

10. What Will Genesis 950 Clean?

Genesis 950 can be used to remove any water soluble stain. It will clean pet stains, carpeting, grease, oil, tar, food, pasta, wine, kool-aid, play dough, make up, ink, dye, wax, glue and so much more. We are always hearing new and exciting stains that have been removed by customers. Genesis 950 can be used on virtually any surface. Carpet, clothing, upholstery, furniture, tile, concrete, linoleum, asphalt, aluminum, stainless steel, fiberglass, finished and painted wood, walls, stone, leather, microfiber and more. The only surface that it is not advisable to use Genesis 950 on is untreated or unfinished wood. This is because untreated wood will absorb the moisture and it may cause warping or expansion.

How To Clean Pet Stains

How To Remove Pet Stains

At some point, every pet owner has to deal with some sort of stain. Whether it be from an accident, an ailment, or food just not going down right, pet stains can be a struggle. What can be even more frustrating then the actual stain, is getting rid of it. There are countless products on the market designed to eliminate pet stains. However every pet owner knows not all of them work.

how to remove pet stains
Enzymes are often suggested as a common cleaner to remove pet stains. While they are highly marketed and targeted as solutions for removing pet stains, pet owners often find that these types of cleaners are ineffective. There are several reasons why enzymatic cleaners do not deliver desired results. First of all, enzymes are very specific in what they can clean. Enzymes work by attacking and breaking down protein cells. However not all enzymes can break down all proteins. Different animals release different chemicals in their urine. Because of the variations, a general enzymatic cleaner might target some of the protein in the stained area and not all of it. Likewise, a stain from pet vomit will vary in composition from a stain composed of waste. As a result, there are going to be elements in either type of stain that an enzymatic cleaner can not break down.
Because enzymes are so sensitive as far as what will react to them, there are other variables that prevent them from effectively cleaning and removing stains. These variables include temperature, the composition of the area being cleaned and the use of other products in the area. If the temperature is not in the right range, enzymes do nothing. They are very sensitive in regards to temperature. Different carpet types are dyed and treated differently. Some also have stain guard applied to them. Various chemicals in the manufacturing of carpet, as well as different stain guards can prevent enzymes from doing anything at all. If any type of cleaner had been used in the past, whether it be used as a spot cleaner or in a machine, it too will have the same effect as any chemical that might be in the carpet itself. That effect is the neutralization of the enzymes being applied. They will be completely ineffective.
More often then not, people who use enzymatic cleaners find that the stain is never really fully removed, and although the smell seems to be eliminated, it ends up returning in about three days . . . usually with a more pungent odor then before. The returning smell comes from the breakdown of remaining enzymes in the carpet as well as the protein from the original stain that was not broken down. Remember, certain enzymes only target specific types of protein, need the correct temperature to be active and are ineffective if any other chemicals have been in the area. With such variables, there is no way a general, store bought enzyme can properly remove pet stains.
Household cleaners are often used as an attempt to clean stains. Many household cleaners imply that they can be used for cleaning spots in carpet. There is nothing further from the truth. The bulk of household cleaners contain active chemicals and bleach based foundations. These cleaners can have extremely negative effects on carpet. Different carpet types are treated with different chemicals when they are manufactures. Some carpets are even treated with a stain guard. The chemicals in household cleaners can react to the chemicals in carpet or stain guards and make very visible variations in the carpet when applied. In some cases, the this combination can even work against you to lock the stain in. Chemical based household spray cleaners should never be used on carpet - especially if you do not know about your carpets composition specifications.
Another huge misconception in removing pet stains is that vinegar will do the job. Vinegar is in general a useful cleaner because of the fact that it is acidic. It is also a natural, green product and inexpensive on top of that. When diluted with water, the acidity is neutralized. This allows it to safely clean surfaces by allowing the acid to break down whatever stains it is targeting. However, pet owners should never use vinegar to clean pet stains in carpet or upholstery. Being a natural, acidic compound, vinegar, as well as ammonia, contains some of the same elements found in urine. This is particularly evident in the scent. Animals, both cats and dogs, are inclined to urinate in the same spot. Cats are drawn to liter boxes. Cat liter is often ammonia based. This ammonia scent is what draws the cats to the box as cat urine contains ammonia. They naturally go to the bathroom where they smell they have gone before. When dogs go outside, they sniff to find where they have gone before. When they find the area where they have previously gone, they will continue to use that spot. If they smell the scent of another dog, they will in turn mark that area with their own scent. Now, think about your carpet. If you lay vinegar down in your carpet, even diluted, your cat or dog will smell it. As a natural reaction, they will confuse the vinegar scent for the scent found in urine. You have just encouraged your pet to use the carpet at a rest area and your pet stain problems are only going to get worse.

To properly clean and remove pet stains, you need to thoroughly clean the area. The best way to do this is with Genesis 950. Genesis 950 is a surfactant based cleaner. It works with water to break the bonds of stains. To properly remove pet stains, use it in a steam cleaner or machine. This allows it to get deep within the carpet fibers and padding to break apart everything that has sunk below the surface. If you have deep pet stains, and are just spot cleaning the surface, you may get rid of the visible stain, but you are not going to be able to remove the odor from what has penetrated below the surface fibers. Genesis 950 is a green cleaner with no harsh chemicals, toxins or enzymes. It will not react with carpet regardless of what the carpet's composition is. It can even be used on sensitive surfaces like wool and silk. In addition to breaking down stains, it will kill any bacteria that it comes in contact with. This also allows it to completely deodorize the area and remove odors associated with pet stains.

In the photo shown, the Berber carpet was affected by pet stains. Over a six month period, other cleaners were used. In most cases, the stains were lifted, however the reaction of the carpet to the cleaner was more then prominent. Gray streaks made every cleaning attempt apparent. The more the carpet was cleaned, the worse it ended up looking. A lingering foul odor also accompanied the unsightly carpet. Among the cleaners used were enzymatic based cleaners as well as common household cleaners specifically designated as carpet and spot cleaners. After trying all the traditional and mythological methods of cleaning, the next option was to replace the carpet. It was then suggested to try Genesis 950 in a steam cleaner.
